The Department of Civil and Mineral Engineering at the University of Toronto invites applications for a tenure stream position at the rank of Assistant Professor in the area of concrete materials. The anticipated start date of the appointment is September 1, 2021. Candidates must have a PhD in civil engineering, or a related discipline by date of appointment or shortly thereafter, with a demonstrated record of excellence in research and teaching. We seek candidates who have a background in material characterization, testing, durability, analysis and/or modelling and demonstrate research excellence in ideally one or more of these areas: advanced concrete technologies; new, low CO2 cement-based materials; cement-based composites. Candidates are expected to show evidence of application in the area of infrastructure.
